Aitutaki
Aitutaki, also traditionally known as Araura, Ararau and Utataki, is one of the Cook Islands,
north of Rarotonga. It has a population of
approximately 2,000. Aitutaki is the second most visited island of the Cook Islands.
The Cook
Islands were attached to New
Zealand in 1901. Stamps of Cook
Islands were used in 1892-1903 and 1932-72. Aitutaki acquired its
own postal service in August 1972, though remaining part of Cook
Islands.
